Statement Shoes That Caught My Eye Lately

I haven't really been keeping up with the latest styles of shoes out there - mostly because I have been feeling rather uninspired with the shoes that are popping up. I'm not really one to follow trends and I feel like a lot of the shoe styles are clones of each other. There have however been some that have caught my eye lately and I did use to heavily feature pretty shoes a lot before and so I want to bring them back! This blog is called my Life is A Shoe for a reason!

Here are some pretty statement pairs that caught my eye recently:

Aquazzura Botanica raffia-effect mules

I really loved Aquazurra shoes so much before but in the last few years I have not seen a pair from them that caught my eye lately. I've been browsing through a lot of shoes recently brought these two pairs to my attention! The first ones are the Botanica raffia-effect mules - pretty white slip on mules that have the cutest floral and lady bug crochet embellishments on the peeptoe. It is the most perfect spring design!

The second Aquazzura pair of shoes are these red textured peeptoes that have the most gorgeous (and dangerously high stiletto heels!) These are the Rio Flirt raffia sandals.

The next pairs are two styles from Gianvito Rossi. Gianvito Rossi is also one of my old favorites. The first pair are metallic leather slingback sandals. Though the design is not that groundbreaking, I was more attracted by the colours! I love the mint metallic and the combination with the rose gold looks ethereal. The second pair is in a deign that makes it look like a coral. These are the Ocean patent leather sandals.

I am quite obsessed with bow on shoes so this Givenchy Boudoir Bow leather mules are a must! I love the giant oversized bow and also that the peeptoe is in a square shape.

Speaking of bows, these Jimmy Choo Afia 65 satin slingback pumps have the prettiest delicate ribbons on them. I think the mesh panels also lend an interesting detail to the pair and I love the purple color and the pointy slingback style.

These Mach and Mach Floating Pearl satin sandals are by far the dreamiest pair of the lot. Pearls + satin really do make up the dream shoe! At least for me!

Prada have always come out with really gorgeous shoes with interesting details and this patent leather pump one has architectural panels and stripes on a pointy heel. Another perfectly designed shoe for me!

I also really love exotic and animal embellishments on shoes! This is the Valentino Garavani Cœur Vipère embellished mesh mules featuring a serpent atop a peeptoe that is shaped like a heart!
