I mean, I do love the idea of glamour and sophistication and evening formal outfits. I love checking out gowns and looks from film premieres and events like the Met Gala. I just generally think it is a big hassle for myself, especially if nights and occasions that call for it are few and far in between. I think it is also quite a bit of a waste to invest in a very expensive dress that I can only wear once.
So every time I get invited to a wedding (and usually weddings here always have a formal dress code), I am always, always caught in a pickle on what to wear.
My solution in the last few weddings that I was invited to was to have a custom skirt with a train made (so it looks more formal!) and I was able to stretch this out to maybe four weddings.
For this wedding that I attended recently, I was again almost caught in a pickle on what to wear because that previous skirt was already worn around the same people.
And then I remembered I had this double bubble skirt from Yong Studio, a local designer brand. I have actually already worn the skirt multiple times out and about, even with sneakers one time and it is the skirt that features in my last blog post!
