So I just wrote a mini epiphany on my Instagram about how I was literally outfit repeating for three weekends straight and I thought I would record it out here in the blog as well. Later on I would like to expand this topic in a Shoesletter in the near future because basically the whole point of the post was not just about how okay it is to repeat outfits but also about the importance of creating outfit formulas that works best for you.
Anyhoo, to make a long story short (and to save you from reading the entire caption on my IG post since you're already here anyway), last month I was gone for a bit which meant I was away from my main wardrobe and away from all the choices I have for shoes, accessories and clothes. I had to pack almost four weeks worth of clothes that included outfits for a short trip to Singapore, several concerts and general outfits for living in our capital, Manila, the rest of the time. I figured since I was going to be away so long I had to stick to outfit formulas and basically pack the most versatile items to be able to create interesting outfits that stayed true to my personal style.
I actually ended up wearing almost the EXACT same outfit for three weekends straight of night and dinner outs in two different cities. The only thing I changed out as you can see in these photos is the top (as I really pack and wear a lot of black tops normally anyway).
I wore the exact same white floral earrings from Eklektik, bag from Rag2Riches, black cargo wide legged pants from KarenBritchick for Amazon The Drop and of course, a pair of Sala Chaussures. I wore the pointy mules in steel for all of these night outs and even with several day outfits whilst I was away. I would say all these items are the MVPs of my wardrobe in January!
The first Friday night out, was for dinner and drinks in Manila.

The last weekend (a Saturday night) was a dinner out, back in Manila and of course, still wearing the same outfit. I decided to wear it with a button down this time.

Anyway, I ended up really loving this outfit combination and am keeping this outfit formula a staple in my life! What do you guys think? What are your go-to outfit formulas?
