In 2019 (well before COVID, ah who remembers those days?), I had scheduled several international trips and I needed comfortable shoes since I knew I would be walking a lot. So I bought my first Adidas Stan Smiths out of desperation (I had a few weeks left for a trip and couldn't find anything I remotely liked.) I decided to go for these upon recommendation from a friend who swears they're super comfortable. I found them a little too bulky for my taste to be honest, but I was still able to wear them a lot on the trip. It looks so well worn now with coffee stains and all! (anybody know how to get rid of them?). For the outfits I styled them with, I did a variety of casual pants look and a girly look with a nice shiny feminine skirt for contrast. I quite like the juxtaposition of more girly things against sneakers!

I just found these sneakers pretty, plain and simple. While on said international trip, I was tasked by my sister to hunt down these metallic Cole Haan sneakers. I found them really pretty in person. However, when I first saw them at the Cole Haan store in New York, I found them too expensive at $150 dollars. I decided to wait and come back for them at the end of the trip since my sister really wanted them. And guess what. I found the exact same pair at the Cole Haan outlet in Virginia the week after, at half, yes HALF the price. I snapped them up right away (for me and my sis). They are the most elegant sneakers I've ever seen!

I was literally influenced by a certain boy band into purchasing these next two sneakers from FILA. If you recognize the logo on the tongue of the first pair, you would know which band I am talking about. Haha. I will leave it at that because I promise this blog will not turn into a "stan" account. In my defense, I needed another pair of white sneakers that were not as bulky as the Stan Smiths. That's the first pair right there and they feature pretty prints on the insides (same prints that one of the band members wore in their music video teehee). The second pair (good Lord, I can't believe I bought TWO) was rather bulky but I kind of really love them! They feature these really cute colored specks at the bottom part and these were the sneakers out of all where I found so many outfit ideas for! Maybe I'll do a separate post/video for even more outfit ideas for just this pair.
Anyway, this post is getting rather long - wow I can't believe I am talking this much about sneakers! But there you have it. Check the video out if you are in need of outfit ideas with sneakers! And let me know which outfits you guys love. Let me know also how you would style sneakers!

You have a great collection of sneakers! I'm finding I need to wear sneakers more often to help support my knee so I've expanded my collection a bit - but I really missed ankle boots this winter! All mine have a tiny heel which means it puts too much pressure on my knee injury sadly. I hope to get back to normal shoes soon but as you pointed out sneakers can look really cute with some outfits!

I love sneakers, I just don't feel they love me. I see other women wear them and they look so cute, but I put them on and I look frumpy. I don't know what it is.
ReplyDeleteI don't wear sneakers often either but these are cute pairs! I love the polka dot dress outfit.
