Outfit Ideas Inspired By The Resort 2021 Collections

I've been spending a couple nights now looking through the Resort Collections and I found a lot of the outfits consist of items that you can easily find in your closet! I thought it would be fun to come out with outfits ideas inspired by Resort 2021 using only items that I have on hand. I noticed a lot of puffed and statement sleeves in the collections and I am so excited for that! The collection that stood out for me was Jil Sander. It looks minimalist but touched with a tinge of statement with the cuts and style of the pieces and also the accessories. They feature bangles and I am so glad because I absolutely love bangles! I've kept the ones I've had since over ten years ago!

These first two outfits were definitely inspired by Jil Sander. The first one features just a minimalist plain dress but accessorized with bangles. This look is timeless and honestly I probably would have worn something similar ten years ago (which I'm sure I've done) or again ten years from now. The second dress was a random thrift find and worn normally with heels but I am obsessed with how it looks with flats and piles of accessories!

I pulled out some of my statement sleeved tops since I saw that they were prolific! Right before I browsed the Resort collection, I had actually just placed an online order from Mango and my cart consisted of three statement sleeved tops! Too bad they did't make the post (they still have not arrived) but good thing I have some tops that I've kept forever that have sort of a staement. I really like items that transcend trends and time! The next two looks feature an old green Forever 21 (would believe it?) blouse and old Zara.

Victoria Beckham's collection also had a lot of nice classic and timeless outfits. I love that she always has wide legged pants that look so sleek and elongate any legs that wear them. I also discovered that orange and green looked great together so decided to try this combination of a green vintage top (my grandmother's) and some old orange pointy Zara heels peeking out from underneath. I so miss doing this type of look! I used to love wearing pointy colored heels and wore them a lot with flared pants back in my university days!

I've always wanted pants with huge cuffs but could not find one that I liked, but I learned this hack from another Victoria Beckham look. Why not just cuff your flared pants?? The effect you get are really nice looking huge and interesting cuffs!

Philosophy had a lot of looks that involved rose brooches! Remember Carrie Bradshaw's infamous accessory? I love that look and I'm glad that it has become sorta timeless! I've had these rose brooches for as long as I can remember!

I feel like when you're at a loss for something to wear, it helps to look through the  runway shows to get inspired. Definitely NOT to copy outfits exactly though - I see it as like one stepping stone to developing your personal style. Check out what's out there, get inspired and put your own personal twist to it!
