I have been style stalking Giovanna Battaglia since the early street style days. Giovanna is a stylist, fashion editor and just an all around fashion girl. She's spotted in all the major fashion shows all over the world in the most divine outfits. I've been racking my brains to describe her style and I've come to the conclusion that it is just FLAWLESS. Sure she is chic, she is elegant, she is timeless, at times she could be wearing trends but there's no denying that her overall look is flawless. She gets it right every single time! I've been keeping tabs on her style since street style exploded. She was one of the first and original street style stars, back when people were captured going in and out of fashion shows. That still happens now and while I think there are still so many amazing street style stars out there, I feel like a lot of the looks are so manufactured and commercialized already, almost as if everyone who goes to fashion week already expects to be photographed. So since everyone is already conscious of being snapped, it's like they are all trying to one up the other in the fashion stakes. I don't mean to bash - these new style stars are all still very stylish and "fashion", its just that I preferred that era of Giovanna Battaglia, Miroslava Duma, Anna dello Russo and all the magazine fashion editors. They were the original street style stars!

Tackling Trends
Giovanna's style is one that tackles trends very elegantly. I mean, you do not even notice it at all because I feel like all her outfits are pretty timeless. I could be looking at an outfit she wore in 2014 and still feel like it was worn today.
Perfect Silhouettes
She sticks to silhouettes that flatter her body. One silhouette I noticed that she likes to wear are A line pleated skirts. I love how she wears these with t-shirts and amazing heels.
Her Take on Classics and Accessorizing
Another thing that I love about her style is that her twist on classics are faultless. She could be wearing a plain top and pants, but then make the look her own by adding a beautiful pair of pink shoes or a great statement bag. Her way of accessorizing is definitely up my alley : unique enough but not too much that it looks like she's a walking junk shop. Just perfect. You can tell she's meticulous about the details but wears it all very effortlessly. She is definitely the epitome of the saying that goes: "
She wears the clothes and not the other way around!"
She is probably one of the very few women in the world that could make sneakers look so chic! And like I mentioned, interprets trends very elegantly. I remember a few years ago, when the Valentino rockstud range of shoes came out, she was one of the first to wear it. I honestly got sick of the shoe style because practically everyone was wearing them. But the way Giovanna styled it was absolutely perfect and timeless. It's the only outfit I really love in general that featured the overused shoe!
Minimal Makeup
To me, wearing minimal makeup is what defines a true fashion girl and style star. Her hair and makeup are there to complement the rest of her outfit and not let it take center stage. It enhances her looks but no way will you ever see her in heavily contoured cheeks and thick false lashes.
