With temperatures soaring lately, one can't help but dream about the beach and lounging around poolside. I certainly can't wait to bust out those chic maillots,decadent caftans and cover-ups and of course, beach appropriate footwear. I'm honestly not a huge fan of flip flops and ordinary looking slippers unless I REALLY have to wear them. Like for going to the beach. Obviously, one can't exactly wear designer stiletto heels - unless you don't care them getting wet or ruined by pool or sea water.
For this type of occasion, waterproof footwear is a must. You can still look luxe and chic with the right kind of styles that are still perfect for the beach or poolside. Think metallic flipflops like these ones from

Havaianas, or thongs with gorgeous embellishments from
Daniel. Waterproof rubber slides also work and there is so much variety out there with different price ranges like ones from
Topshop to a high end brand one like
