Tuesday Trend : Lampshading

I'm sure by now you've all heard about this new trend that's sweeping Hollywood by storm : Lampshading. This is a fashion trend that's been seen on Gigi Hadid, most of the Kardashians and Kate Moss. 

What exactly is lampshading? It's basically pairing a sweater dress that has a little bit of flounce at the hem with over the knee boots. This dress must be a few inches above the knee and there must be a little bit of skin in between it and the boots. The whole effect kind of gives a lampshade silhouette, thus the term.

To be quite honest, I am not sure how I feel about this trend. I think if done right and in a classy way, I might try it (well first of all I need to get out of my tropical country because there is no way in hell I would be wearing sweater dresses and boots in this climate). The ones who I think did it really well were Kate Moss (see HERE) and also Olivia Palermo (see HERE). Both their looks look really classy and chic. The rest, er, let's just say their lampshade looks are not for me.

    We love lampshading, but it's not that easy to wear. We think it's more for the type of girl that has long legs!
