I'm going ahead and making my own version of the list of the styles of shoes you should own in your closet. This list is based on what I feel like is essential in every woman's wardrobes and also what I personally think should be worn because these styles are also ever present in my collection. The 5 styles I think that are essential to every woman's closet are : the nude pump, the chic wedge, the barely there stiletto, the flat thong sandal and the ballet flat.

The Nude Pump
I remember reading similar lists to this and finding that in most of them, the classic black pump is mentioned. Now don't get me wrong - the black pump is gorgeous and is such a staple that goes with everything. But to be honest, I think the nude pump is ready to take over the throne of the classic black pump. Nude pumps go with practically everything! Plus they elongate and make your legs look sexier. I honestly cannot recall the last time I owned a pair of black pumps, whilst I actually have more than one pair of nude ones in my arsenal.
Another classic that you should always own are the ballet flats. They are pretty and comfortable and add such instant chic to any outfit.
Barely There Heels
The rise of the barely there heels has been prominent in the last few years. I don't see it slowing down and I am going so far as to say that it is a classic. Barely there heels elongate your legs and look perfect in almost any outfit. They are also staples that should be worn under formal gowns for special occasion.
Wedges are the alternative to the heel and a more comfortable option. Sleek and chic wedges look great and timeless - just make sure that you don't keep buying and investing on huge chunky ones that will probably go out of style after a season.
Flat Thong Sandals
These types of flat sandals are casual enough to be worn during downtime or at the beach, yet they are also elegant enough to be worn with maxi dresses and outfits to more dressy occasions. This is why I think that they are so essential - they are so chic and they transition beautifully to different types of outfits and occasions.
What do you guys think? Are any of these pairs your absolute essentials? If not, which styles of shoes do you think are essential to every woman's closet?
