Designer Shoelight : Paula Cademartori

I've been seeing this designer name pop up already from time to time in my Instagram feed and mentioned in other blogs and finally, I featured the first Paula Cademartori pair in the blog a few days ago. Paula Cademartori actually started out designing bags first and recently launched her shoe line in 2015. Cademartori is a Brazilian so for her, the more color the better! You can see it featured in her trademark fun, funky and colorful style aesthetic. 

Cadematori places importance in the use of quality materials and good craftsmanship - the main reason why she set her base in Milan. Asides from falling in love with the city and being inspired by it, she was also bent on having that Italian made stamp on her shoes and bags. Her shoe collections are inspired by the same mood of her bags and in her words :  "In terms of inspiration, I have been moved by the same mood of the bags. I have in fact realized this new shoes collection playing on a coordinated selection of materials, colors and details, which combines the pivotal values of luxury and Italian craftsmanship with an extremely seductive and feminine vision of the contemporary woman." One of her most distinctive style of shoes are the Lotus Sandals, which have both heel and flat versions in a variety of different colors, materials and textures. This design features scalloped  edges on a semi circle pattern in the ankle part of the shoe. Other styles feature colorful stripes, cork textures, lace-ups and quirky designs like star patterns on a metallic upper.
