Good Day Shoelovers! Today's blog post is a Designer Shoelight post on Alejandro Ingelmo.

Resort 2014 Open Toe Mariposa

I have already featured shoes from Alejandro Ingelmo awhile back and I find that his designs are not only beautiful and classy but also have the most amazing shape, arch and proportions. I have mentioned several times in this blog already about how in every shoe, it's not just the style that's important but also the structure and proportions. These contribute greatly to the overall look and beauty of the shoe. Alejandro Ingelmo has some of the most beautiful proportions and structures in my own opinion. His shoes just look so incredibly well made and classic!

Alejandro first debuted his women's collection in 2006. The following year, he also debuted his men's line which immediately brought just as much success as the first collection. He has developed a cult following among editors and celebrities.

Fall-Winter 2013 Mariposa

He already has roots in the footwear industry. Starting with his grandfather who was a cobbler in Salamanca, Spain. The family then moved to Cuba where his grandfather started Ingelmo shoes. It became one of the most prestigious shoe companies in the country. The family then moved to Miami where Ingelmo was born. 

Ingelmo mixes his cuban heritage and a New York( where he is based now) flair. His designs are modern yet innovative. And all with a classic timeless touch. Photos of some of his shoes are from his most recent collections. Fall Winter and Resort 2014. There are so many beautiful ones! They are also the type of styles where you know you can wear them for many years to come and you know that they will still be relevant.
