Weird Shoe Wednesday...Iskender Asanaliev

photo from HERE

Happy Weird Shoe Wednesday Everyone! Today's post is all about these shoes by Iskender Asanaliev. This pair is named the Teke shoes and was inspired by wild mountain goats in Kyrgyz Republic. The designer himself is actually also from Kyrgyzstan.  You can see that the heel is in the shape of a hoof! Pretty weird right? I am not even sure you can wear them, I don't know how the foot gets in and it looks like the material of the shoe is too hard, and  looks more of an ornament than a shoe. They are still pretty cool though! Nice to admire and look at.

Other pairs of Asanaliev also look like they're made in the same material, and again I am not so sure if they are meant to be worn. Probably more shoe art than shoes. Hehe
