Designer Shoelight...Gianvito Rossi

Gosh it's been so long since I posted A "Designer Shoelight". The last one was on January! Anyway, this section is basically one where I feature shoe brands that are either new, not so heard of OR aren't as talked about and worshiped as the Choos, the Blahniks and the Louboutins! It's time we appreciate all those other fabulous shoe labels out there! Hopefully I can do this more often!

Today's shoelight will be: Gianvito Rossi.

For some of you who can tell, he shares the same last name with another famous designer. Yep, you guessed it! Gianvito Rossi is Sergio Rossi's son! Shoesity must run in their blood! Imagine having two awesome shoe designers in the same family...

Ginavito Rossi launched his first collection in 2006 after working alongside his father for 20 years. Since then he was been widely received by everyone and there are currently two stand alone boutiques, one in Milan and the other in Paris. His shoes are also available in online stores like net-a-porter and Barneys. They also have a website showing all the gorgeous designs. Style, quality, and contemporary elegance  - this is what the brand projects. Plus the added bonus of all the technique gathered from working alongside his father for twenty years. Gianvito puts his own spin on the designs that are truly unique but classic and absolutely gorgeous!

Here are some of my favorite picks from this brand:

How cute are these bow tie sandals? Love that the bow is perched on the ankle strap! Just as if it were on somebody's neck!

This pair is so gorgeous with all the satin ribbons and straps.

He also makes really sexy stilettos - this one with  a unique spider design.

His pumps are the perfect shape and have the perfect arch! I always talk about how shoes must have the perfect arch and shape and I think he has mastered the art. Plus, there is a little bit of quirky detail like the tassels thrown into the back of the shoe.

Hope you guys enjoyed my second designer shoelight. Gianvito Rossi is definitely going to be one of those great and iconic shoe designers! I cannot wait to see what other designs he has upcoming.

Have a shoe filled day everyone!

Sexy Stiletto Saturdays : Oscar Tiye

The two circles found at the back of this shoe really reminds me of Mickey Mouse. Don't you guys think so? It's pretty cute actually! Other than that, this pair is actually a really very sexy pair of stilettos. It has a gorgeous black satin texture, dainty straps and a beautiful high stiletto heel. What do you guys think?

Olgana Paris Dahlia Suede Ankle Wrap Sandal

I've mentioned several times here just how much I am loving the low block heel. I've featured the style several times and even my own shoe line Sala Chaussures have made several versions of it. I am very much partial to the more feminine and dainty versions and I love that other designers are coming out with so many pretty styles like these ones from Olgana Paris. I love the gorgeous blush color plus the flower embellishment adds just the right element of femininity and the dangling leaves on the ankle straps finishes up the whole shoe perfectly. What do you guys think of this Pair?

Sergio Rossi Velvet Beaded Heel D'orsay Pump

Opulent and decadent are two words I would use to describe this pair from Sergio Rossi. It features gorgeous deep purple velvet uppers with the back part and block heel covered almost entirely in beads. Even with all those factors, I still think this pair is extremely wearable, I would totally wear these with jeans and a white shirt!! It  is such a gorgeous pair! What do you guys think?
