An Ode to The Pigalle

If you're a shoe lover like me, you would know that The "Pigalle" that i'm referring to in my title is not the neighborhood or metro stop in Paris, but the name given by Christian Louboutin to one of his pointy pumps.

To me, the Christian Loboutin Pigalles are the most perfect pointy pumps ever. It seems Mr. Louboutin just nailed it in this shoe (as in a lot of his shoes actually) with regards to  perfect proportions and arch! They are only 4 inches high, but that makes it look even more classic. I would wear this shoe even twenty years from now! (well I would wear this shoe right this second if only I could actually afford it!)

Playing imaginary shoe wardrobe: I would definitely get both the black and the nude! They are both classic colors and will go great with anything. I think the nude ones are absolute perfection! If I only have enough money for one pair, I would definitely get the nudes over the black ones.

They also have other colors like blue and dark pink or coral (?):

And Highlighter yellow:

Some glitzy ones:

No matter the color, it still looks classy and beautfiul! I hope they don't stop making them before I can actually afford them! :o

I know I've said before that there is a whole wide world of shoes outside of the Louboutin World- because it seems that EVERYONE is just so into Louboutins and I think there are sooo many other great shoe designers out there. But I think the reason why his shoes are so popular is because most of them are so perfectly proportioned and their shapes are so timeless and classic. Like I said above, most of his shoes are the types that you would probably still wear in the years to come. The Pigalles are a true testament to that.

*note: the pigalles I featured here are the Pigalle 120mm.

The blue and dark pink/coral pigalles I found at net-a-porter.com

The rest of the Pigalles in this post are from the Christian Louboutin website.

Check them out!

Sexy Stiletto Saturdays : Oscar Tiye

The two circles found at the back of this shoe really reminds me of Mickey Mouse. Don't you guys think so? It's pretty cute actually! Other than that, this pair is actually a really very sexy pair of stilettos. It has a gorgeous black satin texture, dainty straps and a beautiful high stiletto heel. What do you guys think?

Olgana Paris Dahlia Suede Ankle Wrap Sandal

I've mentioned several times here just how much I am loving the low block heel. I've featured the style several times and even my own shoe line Sala Chaussures have made several versions of it. I am very much partial to the more feminine and dainty versions and I love that other designers are coming out with so many pretty styles like these ones from Olgana Paris. I love the gorgeous blush color plus the flower embellishment adds just the right element of femininity and the dangling leaves on the ankle straps finishes up the whole shoe perfectly. What do you guys think of this Pair?

Sergio Rossi Velvet Beaded Heel D'orsay Pump

Opulent and decadent are two words I would use to describe this pair from Sergio Rossi. It features gorgeous deep purple velvet uppers with the back part and block heel covered almost entirely in beads. Even with all those factors, I still think this pair is extremely wearable, I would totally wear these with jeans and a white shirt!! It  is such a gorgeous pair! What do you guys think?
