So I came up with another section for this blog and it's called "Shoed or Shoed Not?" meaning: should you or shouldn't you like OR buy this particular pair of shoes?
There are times when I go shoe shopping and happen to chance upon an UH-mazing pair of shoes. I pick it up, admire it and all is good...until I turn it over and find that the heel is an ugly piece of 3 inch chunk. humph. Or that the platform isn't right and so on. These are the shoes that just have a "je ne sais quoi" but in a wrong and bad way. It's a great pair of shoes but somehow you feel like something isn't right about it.
And SO, that's how I came to have this section. I will be showing a pair in each post that I think is pretty great but feel like they need more validation to be considered an awesome (or not so awesome!) pair of shoes.
I'd also love to hear from you guys if y'all think that it's a shoed or shoed NOT pair!
The first pair is this Max Studio one that I found in DSW shoes.

So I actually love the gold color and the sort of butterfly straps in the ankle. They SORT of remind me of these gorgeous gold aperlai sandals (see here in my twitter). Of course the Aperlais are so much more gorgeous, but anyways moving on!
Yes, at first glance it looks pretty (especially as a small icon) but once I enlarged it I started seeing a lot of things that were wrong with the shoe.

First complaint: the platform and the heel. Um why did they have to have this kind of white-ish color? Second: the pointed front part. This kind of style does not look nice with the white platform. It kind of makes the shoe look cheap.

I think maybe if there was no platform I could tolerate the heel in this present color.
What do YOU guys think?
Is it a shoed? or a shoed not?
I found these here.
those shoes are amazing!!!

I do like that butterfly detail. It would be a shoed for me if I had someplace to wear it and could walk in it!

I think they are pretty at a first glance but the white platform is really bugging me, so for me they are a shoed not!

I love this new feature! So fun.
ReplyDeleteI think these shoes, while cute, are a "shoed not" simply because of the weird platform and heel. What is with that color?

You always find the best shoes out there
ReplyDeleteShoed not... The gold is very classic and elegant while the heels and platform are very clean and sportsy. These two things don't match in my mind :) xo Nikki
ReplyDeleteuhm definitely shoed not. I don't like stilettos, for one, but I also really don't like anything that looks garish like this.

Beautiful shoes!
ReplyDeletecute section. i have to agree with you on the white. i have a rule never to wear white shoes (heard it somewhere years ago, and it stuck). otherwise, it is a pretty shoe!
ReplyDelete[oomph.]
They are very pretty but I share your concern with the platform. The color is so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteIt's a cute shoe & I like the straps..not a fan of the heel height & white platforms! great review..
ReplyDeleteI liked them, but maybe the color is too shiny for me... anyway, the style is cool!
ReplyDeleteThx for your comment :)
ReplyDeleteGreat shoes!
