Designer Shoelight...Gaetano Perrone

It's been a looong time since my last Designer Shoelight Post (last one was this) and it's a shame because there are so many fantastic shoe designers that we don't often hear about. I promise that I will do this more often!

Rene Caovilla Pumps

Rene Caovilla makes THE most exquisite shoes! Without fail. Look at this velvet and suede pair for example. It's a perfectly shaped pump, the arch and heel height are proportioned and gorgeous. There are swarovski crystals but they are not strewn around haphazardly all over the place, not like a lot of glitter embellished shoes out there. Instead, they follow some sort of pattern that makes the over all look of the design sleek and not at all gauche. (there are actually 8000 swarovski crystals in all, can you imagine?). If all that glitter is still not enough for you, then just look at the sole. It's sparkling too! Love it when designers come up with details like that!

Weird Shoe Wednesday...KTZ

Now this looks like a shoe fit for a fortune teller/tarot card reader. It's appropriate because it's called the tarot embroidered leather pumps. This pair is actually available for buying (well at least still at the pre order stage) at luisaviaroma.com so I don't think it's considered shoe art, the way all my weird shoe wednesdays posts usually are. Well, maybe wearable shoe art since they ARE pumps after all and they ARE kinda artsy. I just wonder, is it hard to walk in? The huge tarot card at the front part looks like it's in the way of your legs. hmmm. I dunno. I just wonder also, is your future written here too? Har, har...

Though they are pretty cool, I think I'll have to pass, it comes with a 1,280 euro price tag! Yoikes! Still pretty awesome to look at though.
What do you guys think? Would you wear these?

Caged Sandals...B Brian Atwood

I like caged sandals, and I especially like this variation. These are the Langden Stretch Caged Sandal by B Brian Atwood. Based from it's name, it's well, a stretch sandal so I'm assuming t this makes the it rather easy and maybe a bit comfier than most shoes since they are flexible, whilst molding exactly to your feet shape. Other than that, I really love the tri-color combination. Dark brown and blue look really good together right?

A Pretty Pair to Brighten Up Your Day...Badgley Mishka

I hope you are all having a lovely start to this work week. I know that the awesome weekend was gone, but how about looking at this pretty pair to chase away the workday blahs? These are Badgley Mishkas and were segregated to the evening shoes section, but like I say with so many other "dressy" shoes that I feature, I really see no reason why you should save this pair for special occassions. Wear it to the office if you want and who cares if people make fun of you? They will just be jealous that you have the most fabulous pair of shoes on. You can totally wear this with a full skirt or a pair of skinny trousers, no problem.

Just look at the detail in the back! I love this nude/blush satiny color and the structure and heel height are perfect.
Wishing you all a shoe filled day! Have a great week ahead of you!

Sunday Shoe Selection

Happy Sunday everyone! Hope everyone is having a good weekend so far. Today's post is all about the pairs of shoes that I selected throughout the week but didn't get around to post individually. They are all too pretty to not include in a blog post, so I've decided to round them up in a new section of my blog called Sunday Shoe Selection. They are shoes of all kinds of styles and budget. Hope you all like these pairs as much as I do!

Unusual Shoes : Alice + Olivia

I always love an unusual pair of shoes. These Alice + Olivia face pumps are definitely that! There have been face shoes done before (the famous D&G wedges from many seasons ago was the first time I've seen a face on a shoe.) Sounds weird right? However I don't qualify these shoes for a Weird Shoe Wednesday post because I actually think they are wearable! The face in the shoe looks so snobby and chic, what with the huge rhinestone laced sunglasses plus the bold red lipstick. I thought at first that the black swirls in the red uppers were just a design detail, but come to think of it, I think it may actually be the girl's perfectly wavy and swirled hair! This chick is certainly well groomed!

They even have it in flats!
What do you guys think? Does the face freak you out or would you wear them?

Obsession with Bows...Zara

Browsing through the new collection at the Zara website yesterday yielded this gorgeous, gorgeous pair. Satin, bows and a beautiful yellow/mustard color. Sounds great right? I'm sure a lot of you are thinking: "not a another pair of bow pumps again!" True, this particular style has been done and redone many times (the original version with flat bows were probably the Marc Jacob Louis Vuitton ones) but i just can't help myself going back to this style over and over again. I really love it! Plus that mustard color is too hard to resist. I want them!

Giuseppe Zanotti Pumps

Giuseppe Zanotti always makes the most exquisite shoes and each style is almost always a winner. Take these pumps for example. It's covered entirely in crystals, but it doesn't look gauche. It has the trendy cap toe but done a different way - where there's a metallic gold bar that cuts across. Plus, the heel and the arch are perfectly done. Love this pump!

Unusual Shoes...Dukas

At first all you see is an ordinary suede purple pump. Turn it around and what do you see? Voila! It's a pair of...legs??? It's actually pretty clever...high heeled shoes attribute to sexy looking legs, so why not design the heel to look like it right? The leg structure in these shoes remind me of Barbie's legs. Perfect and sexy and er, totally un-relatable. Especially to moi. Haha. Oh well, at least we have something to aspire to right? I still think they're unusual and cool enough!

What do you guys think??? They also have it in nude thus making them really look like flesh.

Dsquared Multicolored Shoes

Whoa it has been a pretty long time since my last post! Apologies, I've been on holiday and busy with many other things. Anyway, regular posting shall resume now. (You may also follow me on instagram, I update that pretty often: celynps) Anyway, these Dsquared multicolored ankle strap Sandals are taking the spotlight today. The combination of the metallic purple and and gold with the green has a stunning effect on the shoes. It's not a super unique shape and style but the colors used and the combination makes it special.
