Unusual Shoes...Nicholas Kirkwood

These are by Nicholas Kirkwod. A lot of thoughts run through my head when I see this shoe: it reminds me f an embroidery, tapestry, sofa, a teacup (i dunno why maybe it's the shape of the heel put together with the rest of the shoe?), the mad hatter, a prince's shoe...  what other itmens can you guys think of when you see them?

Still, even with the ""un-usualness" of it all, I can't help but notice all these beautiful details. The little bow at the back of the shoe located at the top heel is a nice surprise. The beading, embroidery and colors are just gorgeous. Plus it looks so nice and delicate that it's on mesh. Also the little gold lines put togther with the black just pulls the whole look of the shoe together.

The first time I saw these shoes, I thought to myself: hmmm, theyre unusual and pretty unique but I wouldn't wear them. Now, after analyzing and breaking down all the features and details of the shoe I realized that I WOULD wear these afte…

Jimmy Choo Tempest Sequined Embellished Heels

How's this for a fabulous shoe? Even it's name, the Jimmy Choo Tempest - makes you intrigued. Tempest by definition means a violent windy storm.
The design of the uppers - the felt-like/suede material and the silver sequins look gorgeous together. The colors kind of  remind you of a storm don't you think? Grayish cloudy sequins look like the storm clouds and the the black parts can be the lightning. Perfect formula for a sexy shoe.

Are you tempted yet?

Weird Shoe Wednesday...Zig Zag Platform

What do you get when you mix a weird lace-up and a jagged platform? Why a candidate for my Weird Shoe Wednesday section ofcourse!
As previously stated in other Weird Shoe Wednesday posts, this section is really not all about making fun of shoes. It's about showing you guys the unique, unusual and well, just plain weird shoes.

These shoes are from Nasty Gal and the lace up part of the shoe is actually pretty nice - except that when you mix it with a jagged wedge and some not so flattering uppers - it becomes  weird shoe. I can write about these but I think I'll pass in wearing them.

Tell me...would you guys buy or wear these shoes? I totally won't judge you if you do! There's nothing wrong with being different and original. Hehe.

C Label Kristy 6 Chunky Heels

I've been looking for a kind of low (not TOO low) heeled pump with a chunky heel and a flat bow in the back. You know, the kind of Louis Vuitton Pump look without the price. The ones I've seen are too over my budget. That's why i was pleasantly surprised when I saw these!

It has all the elements I want : flat bow in the back. check. chunky heels. check. Low, but not TOO low height of heels. check, check  - though they do not look too high in the picture they are actually 4.5 inches! price? 33 dollars! Not bad right?

The color of these shoes are pretty too - a sort of lavender color. They also have a gray version of these but I think I might prefer the ones here. These are the C Label Kristy 6 Purple Brandished Back-Bow Pointed Chunky Heels. Whew! That is a pretty long name!

L.A.M.B Harlie Suede Pumps

I always love a good pair of pumps and a good pair of two-tone shoes. I love these L.A.M.B Harlie Suded Pumps because the splashes f color are nicely distributed - a little peek in the front part and in the heel. Make's the shoe look so awesome and not so usual. Plus I really love the asymmetrical style in the side and the  snake embossed suede.

Looks like the two tone look is here to stay! Am I ever glad that it is because I LOVE the look! Also love this asymmetrical look in shoes.

Shoe of the Day...Qupid Glitter Pumps

I wore these shoes out a few days ago. They are by Qupid and I was really attractd by all the colors put together - pink gray and brown. not you usual color combination! Ofcourse I love the glitter thrown all over it. These are kind of a Louboutin kockoff - wrote about these shoes when they first arrived.
Oh well they are really pretty! Qupid is a pretty good (kinda cheap brand) that I really like! I usually order them online and the sizes are american- so i never have a problem with the fit because sizes are pretty consistent.

Close-up detail of the front part of the shoe.

Jeffrey Campbell Jagged Edge Platform Pump

I must confess that I'm not a huge fan of Jeffrey Campbell shoes. Most of them are too chunky and huge and a little bit too avante garde for my taste. Not that there's anything wrong with all of those qualities I mentioned, I DO appreciate unique shoes but it does not mean I will wear ALL of them. Jeffrey Campbell is one of those shoe designers who have all these awesome shoe visions but in the end I wouldn't be wearing most of his designs.
One shoe that I would consider wearing from him are these Jagged Edge Platforms. I love the design and the concept of the jagged edge. I feel like they look like black leaves. Though the pumps are black, they are not boring because of  all the interesting factors. Suede material, the curved heel and the platform.

What do you guys think? Do you like this particular pair? Are you guys big fans of Jeffrey Campbell?

Aren't these the cutest things ever??? The mustard color is something that needs to be in my shoe closet ASAP and I love the scalloped detailed all over the vamp of the shoe. Ofcourse, let's not forget about the bow. I'm reaaalllly obssessed with bow aren't I?

Manolo Blahnik Rene Embroidered Pump

Whew! Haven't had a post in more than a week. My apologies, I totally went on a self declared holiday. Teehee. Anyway, today's shoe are these Manolo Blahnik Rene Embroidered Pumps. Remember the Carrie Bradshaw days when all the rage were Manolo Blahniks? Back then Christian Louboutin and Charlotte Olympias were a distant fantasy. Blahniks ruled and became so iconic. I still think it is though.

This shoe is a classic example of Manolo's timelesss tyle. The embroidery and colors are such a nice surprising touch to an otherwise plain black pump and the shape and arch of the shoe are just classic.

Steve Madden Coral Heels

How's ths for a pretty summer shoe? The color of these Steve Madden heels are absolutely gorgeous! The proportions of the shoe are perfect and I like the design with the platform and the lines. I know I say that sometimes I get sick of platform shoes but I think these ones are a keeper! It's still summer for most of you out there so this is perfect. Oh and you know what's awesome? These are on sale!
